Justin Bieber and MJ’s daughter, Paris Jackson (13)
Justin Bieber was on hand to pay tribute to Michael Jackson at a handprint ceremony held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the late singer (26th January).
Jackson’s family, including children Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket, were all present at the event – which saw the trio press their hands and feet into concrete with MJ’s name scrawled on it.
Using a sequinned glove and a pair of the Thriller singer’s shoes, the Jackson children also left their father’s prints next to theirs.
Paris seemed more than excited by Justin’s presence as she introduced the 17-year old onto the stage, telling the crowd: “We are all very big fans of Justin and his music. I know I am!”
Speaking of his appearance at the event, the Biebster stated: “I don’t usually get nervous, but I’m kind of really nervous right now. Basically because Michael meant so much to me and I know he meant a lot to you guys as well.
‘He was more than an entertainer. He was an inspiration the way he was kind, he was gentle and very charitable. That’s why I look up to him.
“People are going to remember him for his dancing and singing, but people have to remember him for being the man that he was. I think everybody right now should give Michael a round of applause.”
The Never Say Never star added: “Everything I do, I look at Michael and I want to be as good as he was.”
After paying tribute to MJ, Biebs then took to the stage to sing Rockin’ Robin, while the cast of the Cirque du Soleil production Immortal World Tour, also performed a selection of Jackson’s hit songs.
Smokey Robinson, Quincy Jones and Chris Tucker all made speeches at the event, while Michael’s mother Katherine and brothers Tito and Jackie Jackson all remembered the late King of Pop.
