Justin has been vocal on his desire to win a Grammy. Working hard on new music and even releasing material that competes with current artists, it is a shocker that he wasn’t nominated in a major category. Grammy Awards 2011: Justin Bieber Nominated as Best New Artist Competing with Drake

Justin Bieber and Drake (both Canadian) will be competing with one another next year for Best New Artist at next year’s Grammy Awards.

They won nominations Wednesday night at a special concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles that was carried live on CBS and Global.

Justin is nominated in two categories;Best Pop Vocal Album and Best New artist.

“I want to thank all my fans and everybody,” Justin said in a televised interview from London, Ont., near his hometown of Stratford, right after the announcement.

The Grammys will be awarded Sunday, Feb. 13, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS.
