Justin Bieber’s Basketball Movie still in the Writing Process-Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg told MTV News Sunday that while his basketball movie with Justin Bieber has not officially been green-lit yet, the story writing is already in full swing.

Wahlberg told MTV:

“We’re waiting for the script. Every time I see [Bieber] or Scooter [Braun], I have to explain to them that it’s a bit of a process having the script written.”

Wahlberg emphasized that they want to make sure that the script is as good as it can be before they move forward into production.

“It certainly [has to be] something that’s good enough to go and have green-lit and make right away, but I think it will be well worth the wait.”

Justin Bieber Wants to Star in ‘Fear’ Remake

Justin Bieber reportedly wants to star in a remake of ‘Fear.’ The original 1996 film starred Mark Wahlberg as the unhealthily obsessed boyfriend of Reese Witherspoon.

An anonymous source told MovieWeb that the Biebs has been going over numerous film ideas and that his ultimate role model is rapper-turned-Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg. While the source also said that any potential remakes would be toned down to a PG-13 rating, Bieber is “obsessed” with the original R-rated version.

To give you an idea of why pulling off the role may be difficult for the polished, gentlemanly Bieber, consider what the original ‘Fear’ entailed (warning: it’s graphic and disturbing). Wahlberg’s character, David McCall, rapes a girl played by Alyssa Milano, beheads a family pet, performs a sexual act on Witherspoon’s character on a roller coaster, beats himself up, carves tattoos into his own skin, breaks one man’s neck and threatens to shoot another. We had nightmares just typing that!

We can’t picture Bieber doing anything close to what we just described, even just in a film. However, it would certainly be a challenge for him, which may be what he wants. Another motivation for a remake? Bieber already has connections to the actor formerly known as Marky Mark: Wahlberg cast Bieber in his upcoming basketball film.

While we don’t doubt Bieber is talented enough to pull off a dark role like David McCall, we somehow think a flick about shooting hoops is a slightly better fit.

Can you picture Justin Bieber doing anything close to that? Do you want to see Justin doing all that stuff in a movie?

Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus to Play “Dirty Dancing” Movie Remake?

The 1987 Dirty Dancing Movie is back! Will Justin Bieber play the role?

According to Marieclaire.co.uk, Kenny Ortega, the choreographer for the original 1987 movie, has confirmed he will direct a modern remake of the film.

Kenny Ortega says:
‘The opportunity to direct Dirty Dancing is like returning home for me. I am looking forward to assembling a great creative team and an exciting cast to bring Dirty Dancing to the screen for a new generation.’

Although it is yet to be decided who will star in the iconic summer romance drama, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive with whispers that Justin Timberlake, Rob Pattinson, Zac Efron, Derek Hough and Justin Bieber could play heartthrob Johnny Castle, made famous by the late Patrick Swayze.

Meanwhile, Glee’s Lea Michele, Emma Stone and Miley Cyrus have all been tipped for the role of ‘Baby’, originally played by Jennifer Grey.

The producers believe this is the time to finally remake Dirty Dancing.

Justin Bieber and Mark Wahlberg New Movie Together

The Oscar-nominee Mark Wahlberg who most recently produced and starred in “The Fighter,” told New York Magazine that he’s in the process of putting together a movie with Justin Bieber.

“We’re putting it together. Yeah, we’re doing it at Paramount,” Wahlberg said. “We pitched them the idea, and we talked to him about doing it and he loved the idea. Been sending me video — he sent me a video of himself and yeah, I think he’s really talented.”

While he didn’t confirm that he would star — Wahlberg has produced a number of projects without a starring role — he did say that neither he or Bieber would sing. Injecting himself in there seems to hint that he’ll co-star in what he describes as a story about “a reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment.”

Justin Bieber has some acting experience; he guest starred in two episodes of “CSI” over the winter, and of course starred in the hit concert/road documentary “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,” though there was no real acting involved in that one.

In 2 weeks, “Never Say Never” makes $51 Millions, beating out Miley’s movie “Hannah Montana”

It seems that Justin Bieber is the ultimate teen star as his movie is currently beating out Miley Cyrus’ ‘Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour’ film when compared week by week.

Justin Bieber’s ‘Never Say Never’ reportedly took in about $13.6 million in its second week compared to Miley Cyrus’ movie making $10.3 million, states Contactmusic.com. Cyrus’ film came out about three years ago. In addition, in only 2 weeks, JB’s “Never Say Never” collects $51 Millions in USA alone.

Justin Bieber’s film is expected to keep climbing the chart as it’s special “director’s cut” is release today. That means all fans will have to go see some of the new scenes.
