It is the star’s first tour in China and Bieber gave an interview to a local site: GT.
Check out the excerpts from the interview with the statements of Justin, who revealed to have been afraid of the reaction of their fans with the album of their career transition, the “Believe” :
About transition and change in his music since the album “Believe”:
“[Try different styles] was always something I wanted to do, because I feel I’m not restricted to a particular type of sound. It was very cool to work with these different people … it helped me find my sound and where I wanted to go with this album. It was a transition that I felt it was time to do. “
When talking about the album’s first single “Believe“, “Boyfriend,” Bieber says he portrayed his personality perfectly. He tries not to do crazy things and be a good role model, but note that there is an advantage to him:
“I’m not just a teen pop. This is real music and that’s what I am.”
Creating a successful album while trying to change his image has never been an easy task. Bieber revealed that he wrote and recorded 60 songs in preparation for the album “Believe”. Listen to them all and select a limited number to put on the album was hard for him.
Fortunately, we can always find ways to bring to the public the songs that did not make the album. Some were released exclusively through iTunes as “Love Me Like You Do,” a released exclusively on iTunes Japan, “Just Like Them” and also some exclusive Amazon. In order to launch as many songs as possible, he even thought about doing a double album.
Devoting so much time and effort on this album, Bieber still had concerns about the opinions of fans on their performance. He wondered if people would like it and was nervous about it a week before the album was released. A great answer was a great relief to him:
“My fans love me … But I was not sure if they accept a more mature sound. I started to have doubts, but now I no longer have doubts and am very happy.”
