What happens when the world’s biggest pop star joins forces with the world’s biggest boyband? We’re about to find out, but we’re guessing it’ll involve eardrum-shattering screams of ecstasy from tweens on both sides of the pond. It may be time to stock up on earplugs.
Justin Bieber and One Direction are hinting on Twitter that they’re collaborating on a new song. Squee! (For those of you too old to know who these pint-sized pop stars are, just think back to when you first heard that the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block were teaming up – now times that by a trillion. It’s that epic.)
One of the members of Brit boyband One Direction, Niall Horan (apparently he’s the Irish one? We’re still trying to tell them apart…), tweeted that the boys were in the studio with the all-mighty Bieber. He wrote, “in the studio with our boy @justinbieber last night , its gona sound great!”
According to another member of the boy band, Liam Payne, the band may have just been listening to the new Bieber album. He tweeted, “Got a first listen to justin biebers new album yesterday wowww big songs!!! Its gunna be a smash… Expect the unexpected 
”
Bieber responded, “@Real_Liam_Payne Thanks buddy. Good chillin with u guys.”
Scooter Braun, who manages Bieber, has already hinted that the mega-collabo could happen. Braun tweeted, “Very possible. he likes them and thinks they are good dudes. all people of that generation should be there to help EACHOTHER.”
This is just one of many rumoured collabs Bieber has planned for his upcoming album, Believe. According to MTV News, he’s already recruited Mike Posner, Timbaland, Drake and Pharrell, and may also be working with Usher, will.i.am, Lil Wayne, Ke$ha and Kanye West.
