Cody also encouraged fans to get excited about Justin’s upcoming album! “in the lab. @justinbieber’s #Believe will be incredible. & I have an incredible debut album coming also #YoungBoyClass”
Justin Bieber was on hand to pay tribute to Michael Jackson at a handprint ceremony held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the late singer (26th January).
Jackson’s family, including children Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket, were all present at the event – which saw the trio press their hands and feet into concrete with MJ’s name scrawled on it.
Using a sequinned glove and a pair of the Thriller singer’s shoes, the Jackson children also left their father’s prints next to theirs.
Paris seemed more than excited by Justin’s presence as she introduced the 17-year old onto the stage, telling the crowd: “We are all very big fans of Justin and his music. I know I am!”
Speaking of his appearance at the event, the Biebster stated: “I don’t usually get nervous, but I’m kind of really nervous right now. Basically because Michael meant so much to me and I know he meant a lot to you guys as well.
‘He was more than an entertainer. He was an inspiration the way he was kind, he was gentle and very charitable. That’s why I look up to him.
“People are going to remember him for his dancing and singing, but people have to remember him for being the man that he was. I think everybody right now should give Michael a round of applause.”
The Never Say Never star added: “Everything I do, I look at Michael and I want to be as good as he was.”
After paying tribute to MJ, Biebs then took to the stage to sing Rockin’ Robin, while the cast of the Cirque du Soleil production Immortal World Tour, also performed a selection of Jackson’s hit songs.
Smokey Robinson, Quincy Jones and Chris Tucker all made speeches at the event, while Michael’s mother Katherine and brothers Tito and Jackie Jackson all remembered the late King of Pop.
Madame Tussauds world-famous wax museum inside the Venetian Resort & Casino in Las Vegas unveiled a new Justin Bieber wax figure Wednesday afternoon along with a special new t-shirt created by Club Kids from bht Boys and Girls Club of Las Vegas.
The wax museum recently sponsored a Justin Bieber t-shirt contest, along with Kirvin Doak Communications, and chose the design below for the shirts, which members of the Ralph & Betty Engelstad Boys & Girls Club wore at the unveiling.
Madame Tussauds twitter page posted the message, “Thanks to everyone to came out to see the @JustinBieber wax figure and check out the winning @BGCLV t-shirt design! #BieberFeverLV,” after the event, during which free cupcakes were given out to those in attendance.
According to the museum, Justin had a role in designing his wax figure over the four months during its creation. Last March, Justin helped unveil his wax figure at the Madame Tussauds in London.
The wax figure will only be displayed until March 4.
Justin Bieber is a huge fan of the late Michael Jackson, so it’s no surprise that the 17-year-old and would want to honor the King of Pop, but this week is different.
January 27 marks the opening of ‘Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour’ by Cirque du Soleil, which is inspired by the man and his music. MJ is also being honored with a hand and footprint ceremony at the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on January 26. Will Justin attend?
“Honoring the greatest @michaeljackson this week,” the pop star wrote on Monday in response to a message about the ceremony from Jackson’s Twitter account. “He set the bar for all of us. #MJFOREVER.”
Amber Riley and Harry Shum Jr. are set to appear at the hand and foot ceremony, which comes just before ‘Glee’s’ Michael Jackson tribute episode, so it’ll definitely be a star-studded event. So far, Justin hasn’t been announced as a guest, but we could see him at the kick off of the Cirque du Soleil show in Los Angeles the next day instead. Fingers crossed, Beliebers!
Justin Bieber has always credited Michael Jackson for inspiring him to become a singer. Justin’s slick dance moves are reminiscent of the King of Pop as well. On Justin’s latest tour, he proved how much of a fan he is by mimicking some of Michael’s iconic costumes complete with lots of zippers and red leather.
Another tribute has been created to honor Michael Jackson’s memory, and this one is getting a little help from the Biebs. The “Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour” kicks off today, and Justin has tweeted his support. Cirque du Soleil performers will be doing what they do best as they take the stage and perform to a series of Michael’s tunes.
A brief preview of the show reveals fans are in for a spectacular show that would have made Michael proud. Justin tweeted, “Honoring the greatest @michaeljackson this week. He set the bar for all of us. #MJFOREVER.” Michael’s little sister, LaToya Jackson, was thrilled for the shout out and responded with her own tweet, “Thanks Justin! MJ is smiling!!!”
Could Justin be making a surprise appearance at one of the performances? Wouldn’t it be fantastic if Justin Bieber walked out on stage to give a live performance of one of Michael’s songs? Justin tweeted he was heading back to California today to get back into the studio. Could this be a clue?
According to HollywoodLife.com Justin and Selena enjoyed a romantic dinner together at Pikayo, inside the Conrad Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino, which just so happens to be the hotel where the couple stayed. An eye witness recounted, “They seemed really happy together. They were by themselves and they each ate the Bistec Encebollado.”
Bistec Encebollado is a Pikayo specialty, comprised of thinly sliced “beef tenderloin, with sauteed onions and pikayo fries.”
It looks like Justin flew thousands of miles to be with Selena as she started her South American tour, but he didn’t stay for long! Justin was spotted at the airport on January 22nd, but tweeted today (January 24th) that he was “back in the studio tonight.
#BELIEVE.” That’s a lot of flight time for one evening!
What do you think of Justin’s trip?
It’s been 5 years since Justin Bieber’s mother Patricia Lynn “Pattie” Mallette uploaded to YouTube two videos of her then 13-year-old son singing Neyo’s ‘So Sick’ and Lil Bow Wow’s ‘Basketball’ in a local singing competition.
“I’m looking forward to influencing others in a positive way.” Justin says.
